Past Deadline.Hi gang.
So yeah, stopped updating this. Sorry. filming got hectic and I got bogged down with the need to sleep. Then we wrapped and I partied, and then then got swamped with work. So I haven’t updated set photos in a while. I’ve still got a bunch, so I’m going to share some more with you. Have about two or three journals worth left, then have photos from the wrap party (DRUNKEN SHENANIGANS!) and then will resume my normal journal posting I think.
Now... Before we get to the photos, I’m going to be a little bitchy. I post these so you guys seem them and I hope you like them... but I need to know if you do or not. so if you check these out leave a comment, with the new site layout (wonderful ...
I post these so you guys seem them and I hope you like them... but I need to know if you do or not. so if you check these out leave a comment, with the new site layout (wonderful as it is) I’m not sure if anyone even sees these, so let me know with a comment or at the least a mod, so I know this is worth the time it takes to upload them.
That out of the way, ON TO THE PHOTOS!
Ok... I love filming. It’s the greatest thing I’ve ever done, I love being on set, I love setting up the shot, I love the feeling when you get it, I love ever moment of it. But sometimes it’s long, tiring, tedious and sometimes you’re just flat out exhausted. as you can see in this next photo.
This was just adjusting the lighting and making sure the boom didn’t cast a shadow. When I had to direct I was a lot more alert. Promise.
Aww. That’s sweet. Literally and metaphorically
. The lead male bought the lead female a bouquet of lollipops. Side note, that was a bitch to put together.
My cast rocks. The did the Charlie’s Angels pose without prompting. I love being named Charlie.
we shot in a building that used to be a funeral home, that still had the chapel set up, and I rented a coffin. This was a long (12+ hours) but fun day.
Giving the actor some notes, his performance was a little dead. ~ba dump bump tish~
Trent arguing with Female Death while Male Death waits off camera to switch out. That coffin was so cool!
We all took turns getting a photo in it. I haven’t gotten mine yet, will post it when it shows up.
The poor man’s dolly shot. Turns out surprisingly well.
95% of the cast and crew of Deadline! We’re missing out 4 or 5 people who weren’t on set that day, but that’s a good chunk of them.
Setting up to shoot outside.
It takes a LOT of light to shoot at nighttime.
You have no idea how cold this was. It was freezing, it also started to snow at one point for a few seconds. It was also super noisy, so we had to keep doing take after take, the poor actors were freezing to death.
Shooting the emotional climax of the film. The actors were brillant at not only playing all of the emotion of the scene perfectly, but also looking like they were so cold they were shaking.
The fuel that kept the crew going, Red Bull. This is myself, the producer, and the two camera crew.
That’s it for today, if I see people still like these will post the rest in a few days.
Talk soon gang.
